St Michael’s Mount

We love being members of the National Trust as there are so many lovely gardens and properties near where we live. We also benefit from our membership when we’re in Cornwall as there are lots of places there too that are definitely worth a visit. This holiday we went to Trelissick near Truro which has a beautiful house and stunning views over the Fal Estuary.

We also went to St Michael’s Mount which is always a good day out. The tide was out so we were able to walk over the causeway from the village of Marazion to the island. We climbed all the way up the mount and then all the way to the stop of the castle where the views of the coastline were fantastic.

Unfortunately our trip to St Michael’s Mount was on a grey day (we went there after The Minack Theatre) but it didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the place. The views were still brilliant and I was still able to take some nice photos. They were just a bit more dramatic than sunny. This one is my favourite.
